Welcome Resource Development Director

Habitat would like to welcome Deb Skillrud as the new Resource Development Director. Deb started part-time with Habitat in May and looks forward to coming onboard as a full-time staff member this fall. Deb is no stranger to Habitat; she served a three year term on the Board of Directors, ending in 2006.

Deb is originally from Cuba, IL, but has been a Bloomington/Normal resident for over 20 years, after attending Illinois State University, where she received her Bachelor’s degree. Deb is active at her church, St. John’s Lutheran and also involved with the Girl Scouts. Staying active with her children is how she enjoys spending her free time.

“Habitat has always been a passion for me and serving the need in the community, says Deb. I know that God has prepared me for this job throughout my lifetime. I am really enjoying the position and look forward to making a difference.”
