| Construction » Retired Crew
The Retired Crew is an important part of Habitat's housing ministry. Each Tuesday and Thursday morning a group of dedicated volunteers meets to help in the constuction of Habitat's new homes. Work consists of finishing incomplete tasks from the previous Saturday build day, preparing for the next Saturday session, and construction tasks that require more experience than can be done on Saturday's. In the last few years the Retired Crew has learned to pour and finish concrete flat work. They now do most of our driveways, sidewalks, and porches. This alone saves Habitat thousands of dollars each year in labor costs. ALL volunteers are welcome! You do NOT need to be retired to participate. Our work schedule is Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:00am-Noon. There is no signup, or requirement to register in advance. Just come on out and help us Build Houses and Build Hope!
