If you love prowling the aisles at Home Depot, enjoy fixing things, or just want to help recycle building materials while supporting adequate housing, the Habitat ReStore needs you. Sales, display, cleanup of donations, merchandising and all other "jobs" are completely volunteer efforts. With few paid staff, the Habitat ReStore can use your help. Driver:   Needed on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings.  This person drives a 12’ or 16’ box truck (only drivers license required) to pick-up large donations.  All donations are required to be on the first floor or in the garage, and both trucks have lift gates.  Will need to have ability to back-up truck, and be able to be mindful of the larger vehicle.  This is  a 3-4 hours commitment per day.

Loader:  Needed on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday mornings.  This person rides along in the truck to pick-up large donations.  All donations are required to be on the first floor or in the garage, and both trucks have lift gates.  This is a 3-4 hours commitment per day.

Cashier:  Needed Tuesday-Saturday, mornings and afternoons.  Will operate cash register, answer any questions, and be helpful at the counter.  This person needs to be cheerful, patient, and kind.  Can stand or sit according to preference.  This is a 4 hour minimum commitment per day.

Lead Processer:   Needed Tuesday-Saturday mornings and afternoons.  This person needs to be a veteran volunteer.  Will lead other volunteers in the Donation Processing Zone (the Zone) where donations are prepared for sale by cleaning, assembling, and pricing.  Each item must be processed before it is placed in the store for sale.  This is a 4 hour commitment.

Processer: Needed Tuesday-Saturday mornings and afternoons.  Will work in the Donation Processing Zone (the Zone) where donations are prepared for sale by cleaning, assembling, and pricing.  Each item must be processed before it is placed in the store for sale.  This is a 4 hour commitment.

Customer Service Associate:  Needed Tuesday-Saturday mornings and afternoons.  This person works the sales floor, they need to be helpful, cheerful, and educated of the mission of Habitat.  This role is to help shoppers and organized merchandise on the shelf.  Associates need not be physically strong.  This is a 4 hour commitment.

The Role You Invent:  No time frame.  This volunteer will do what needs done.  There are many opportunities, and we cannot think even the best system of organizing volunteers will systematically catch them all.  But this role is for the most part to be defined by the volunteer and they will execute it as they see fit.  This commitment is variable, and unknown.  Some ideas which have been bounced around are:
