Women Build

What is Women Build?
Women Build is a special volunteer group through Habitat for Humanity.  The program has been established by Habitat International to encourage the involvement of women in the construction of Habitat homes.  This all-female crew helps build a house, has fundraising projects, and raises awareness in the community. At the same time, they seek to empower women and create a non-threatening and fun environment to meet others in the community.
Women crews have already built more than 1,200 Habitat homes within the United States.  Women Build is back for their 6th consecutive build with Habitat for Humanity of McLean County.  Women Build has accepted the challenge of sponsoring an entire house for the 2008 build season.  HFHMC is excited to have the continued support of women in our community to help a deserving family purchase their own home.
